Just a 5–10 minute walk from Hammersmith Underground Station, which connects to three major lines — Piccadilly, District, and Hammersmith & City.

With all three lines within a five-minute reach, getting around London couldn’t be easier. Kensington High Street and Olympia Exhibition Centre are both within a 15-minute walk, making it a convenient base for sightseeing and shopping in West London.

From Hammersmith Station, the Piccadilly Line takes you straight to Heathrow Airport(LHR), while the District and Hammersmith & City Lines provide direct access to the city center.

💷 Rates

According to the official Accor website, the Superior Room with Queen Bed starts at around £162.54 (EUR 187.90) per night.

Located in the heart of West London’s Hammersmith district, Novotel London West is a modern 4-star property known for its large scale and extensive facilities.

The hotel offers 630 rooms across 9 floors, with an efficient layout designed for comfort and easy access to amenities. Check-in is from 3 PM and check-out by noon.

On the lobby level, you’ll find the Aroma Restaurant, Artisan Grill, and a relaxing lounge bar — perfect for casual dining or an evening drink. Additional conveniences include a terrace, 24-hour front desk, and pet-friendly rooms, catering to both leisure and business travelers.

Room Condition

Standard rooms are on the cozy side, yet thoughtfully arranged. Options range from Superior, Executive, and Premier Executive rooms to Junior Suites. Many rooms feature a queen bed + sofa bed setup, ideal for families. Typical sizes start around 24–25 m², while Junior Suites offer about 39 m² of space.

Upon entering, there’s a wardrobe to the right — equipped with hangers, an iron and ironing board, and extra pillows. Next to it, a compact mini-bar area holds an electric kettle, mugs, welcome snacks, tea bags, and instant coffee. A mini fridge and safe are tucked underneath.

In another room type, I noticed four mugs instead of two, and plenty of coffee creamer instead of cookies — plus a different kettle model.

Opposite the wardrobe, you’ll find a full-length mirror beside the bathroom door.

Bathroom

Type 1 bathrooms feature crisp white lighting, which feels cleaner and brighter — I definitely preferred this over the warmer yellow tone. A wall-mounted hairdryer is provided.

Type 2, with yellow lighting, felt noticeably dimmer. One major downside of this hotel: a drain odor coming from the sink, regardless of room type. Even for someone not particularly sensitive, it was unpleasant — not ideal for guests sensitive to smells.

There’s a bathtub with a shower head, plus wall-mounted shampoo and shower gel. However, no conditioner, so bring your own if you need it.

Remember, London’s tap water is hard water, so hair can feel a bit dry afterward — I always travel with a conditioner here.

Bedroom

Bedding is light and minimal, so pack an extra layer if you prefer heavier duvets.

Each room includes bedside lamps and a small sofa by the window — great for storing luggage if you’re traveling solo.

The desk area is compact; in some rooms, the hairdryer is mounted just below the desk mirror — a practical but unexpected touch.

This is slightly larger room and layouts share the same furniture arrangement but feel more spacious overall.

The window can be opened just as this much.

Breakfast – Aroma Restaurant

The main breakfast venue, Aroma Restaurant, offers a buffet-style breakfast. It’s one of three in-house dining options (Aroma, Artisan, and the Lounge Bar), serving as the hotel’s signature restaurant.

Conveniently located right next to the reception on the lobby floor, Aroma is easy to access during check-in or check-out.

Breakfast includes English & Irish options, as well as vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free selections — a nice touch for travelers with dietary preferences.

Beyond Aroma, Artisan Grill serves modern European cuisine, while the Mirror Bar offers cocktails and light bites.

I usually don’t expect much from breakfast buffets in Western hotels, but Novotel London West was a pleasant surprise. Many hotels charge high prices yet offer limited options — not the case here.

A wide variety of cereals with regular and low-fat milk.

Assorted jams (apricot, strawberry) and honey.

Pancakes with butter.

The egg section offers fried and scrambled eggs.

A cold cuts and cheese corner with ham, salami, and sliced cheese.

A lovely tea station — as you’d expect in England.

Croissants, chocolate danish, and self-serve coffee machines for espresso, americano, or latte.

Baguettes and whole-grain bread, with toasters ready.

Gluten-free muesli and corn flakes.
Various baked goods, condiments, and sauces.

Hot dishes include sausages, black pudding, scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, frittata, mushrooms, baked beans, and grilled tomatoes.

Acacia honey, maple syrup, and fresh waffles.

Assorted yogurts, plus Weetabix and dried fruit toppings — classic European breakfast staples.

Juices: orange, apple, cranberry.
Fresh fruits: melon, orange, pineapple, watermelon, grapefruit, banana.

It turned out to be one of those unexpectedly satisfying hotel breakfasts in Europe.

Fitness Center (Gym)

The gym is on the same floor as the breakfast restaurant — technically the first floor above ground level (since the ground floor in the UK is labeled “G”).

It’s open 24 hours and free for all hotel guests.

Though compact, it’s well-equipped with essentials: a rack of dumbbells, pull-up & dip station, stability balls, yoga mats, and benches.

There are three treadmills, two stair climbers, and two exercise bikes — enough for a solid workout if you visit outside peak hours.
